Holle Organic Baby Spelt-Rusk is made from premium organic ingredients and prepared with natural yeast and sea salt. The rusk is unsweetened and contains no allergy causing ingredients such as chicken protein, milk protein, and wheat.

These deliciously light rusks are made just for your baby, using the best biodynamically grown whole meal spelt flour! Made with organic sunflower oil and without added salt and sugar. It helps during teething. Give as a snack, or for making up a rusk cereal with milk or fruit juice. Older children and adults love these rusks for breakfast with butter, jam or fresh cheese, the rusks are a delicious treat for your baby, and even you, the parent, too!

83% Demeter spelt flour**, 11% whole grain spelt grain**, sunflower oil*, yeast*, vitamin B1

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS 

Milk mash preparation:

  • Cut 3 slices of spelt rusk (approx. 1 oz.) into small pieces and place in a bowl.
  • Pour 4 oz. whole milk* and 2 oz. boiled water evenly over rusk.
  • Soak rusk briefly and crush with a fork or spoon.
  • Cool rusk to room temperature before serving.

Rusk fruit porridge preparation:

  • Cut 2 slices of spelt rusk (approx. .08 oz.) into small pieces and place in a bowl.
  • Boil 4.7 oz. filtered water and pour evenly over rusk.
  • Soak rusk for a couple of minutes and crush with a fork or spoon.
  • Mix about 7 Tbsp. freshly pureed fruit (apple, pear, banana) into rusk.
  • Cool rusk to room temperature before serving.

STORAGE AND USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Please do not let your child chew on Holle’s organic baby spelt rusk without adult supervision and do not leave your baby unattended while serving him or her this cereal as a mash or porridge. To prevent risk of chocking, do not serve your baby rusk while he or she is lying down.

Follow preparation instructions carefully to ensure your little one is getting the right dose of nutrients. Always freshly prepare cereal and do not use leftovers. Like all grain products, spelt contains carbohydrates. Although carbohydrates are a great source of energy, continuous contact with carbohydrate containing food can lead to tooth decay. Please pay close attention to your baby’s oral hygiene when using this cereal or any other high carbohydrate food.
